Hey guys,

I  recently visited Goa for the first time. I want to tell you some tips and my personal experiences so that you don't face the problems which I faced in Goa.

1. Where one may stay?

I stayed near Calangute Beach in a guest house namely VILLOW VILLA , but I changed it after a while as the rooms were not at all in a good condition  there. Then after changing the accommodation I stayed at O' CECELIA guest house . IT was just 40-50 yards away from the beach , people staying here may go to beach anytime they want in just a few minutes.

You may also stay at this beautiful guest house . It is located opposite resort TERRA PARAISO, ST. ANTHONY CHEPAL ROAD, CALANGUTE.

2. Where should you satisfy your hunger?

If you are a beach lover and love eating food adjacent to a beach you may have your meal at beach shacks. I personally loved TROPICANA BEACH SHACK at Calangute beach for the main course FISHERMAN'S SHACK for having snacks. The Hyderabadi Biryani of Tropicana Beach Shack was just delicious , noodles and burger of Fisherman's Shack were superb.
There are many outlets at the main market of Calangute where you may get any kind of cuisines you want. Being a Punjabi , I personally loved the food of Sher-A-Punjab which is located at the Calangute main market.

3. Relaxing on Beach Lounge Beds:

Goa is all about enjoying scenic beauty of beaches while relaxing at Beach Lounge Beds. Now , the question you may ask are these free of cost ? So the answer is a big no . At many beaches the owners of the shacks don't charge money for using their beach lounge beds , if you buy meals of decent amount from their shacks . But in some beaches , like Candolim Beach, Ashvim Beach , They charge money for using Beach Lounge Bed. They charge upto Rs 200  per bed per hour .

4. Best Beaches

If  you gather information or ask anyone before visiting Goa for the first time , everyone is going to recommend only famous beaches , especially Baga Beach, Calangute Beach. But guys I strongly suggest you that please don't visit these beaches especially Baga and Calangute Beach. Do visit Calangute Beach but don't go to its main point, it is the dirtiest point according to me in Goa. I suggest you to do visit Ashvem Beach , this is the most beautiful beach in the whole North Goa. You must visit here if you love swimming and if you are good at that . I strongly recommend you to go to Ashvem Beach, Morjim Beach and Anjuna Sand beach, if you love peace and cleanliness.

5. Water Sports

Goa is all about parties and adventure. If you are an adventurous person and love water sports , you must visit Candolim Beach for doing water sports as the waves at this beach are so high and so wild . You can go to the end of Calangute Beach also as waves are also very wild and high there.

6. Where to buy Cashews / kajus from ?

Visiting Goa for the first time? love Kajus / Cashews .........Where to buy them from ?
so the answer is always visit 3 to 4 shops before buying them and then decide from where to buy cashews after making comparisons between different qualities or varieties of cashews .
You not only get cashews at these shops but these shops also provide you some Goan chocolates, Goan spices and a lot more.

7. How to travel in Goa?

If you know how to ride a scooty , then you can hire a scooty for Rs 300 per day . You can also hire cars for RS 1200 per day but you have to pay for the petrol yourself. You can hire any vehicle in Goa only if you have a valid driving licence.
If you don't know how to drive, you can also hire a car with a driver for Rs 2000 to 4000 depending on the distance you want to travel.
